The clothes closet is one of the fastest places in our households to urge clutter. It’s really easy to shove something that you simply don’t know what to do with inside the closet. It’s out of the way and keeps another part of your house from becoming cluttered. The clothes closet also becomes a cargo deck for clothing and accessories that are outdated, ripped, or stained.
it's a holding place for garments that may come into style, accessories that were bargained for but we don’t adore, and things that cost us a fortune but that we’ll never wear again because we don’t like them, no longer fit into them or don’t lead that sort of life anymore.
Cleaning out a garments closet can hurt. It’s hard to throw away stuff that's still good or stuff that cost us lots of cash. But it's to be done.
So think ahead to how good it'll feel to own a closet full of all of the items you wish. Think ahead to how good it'll feel to work out everything in your closet. Think how nice it'll feel to appear in your closet and not feel guilty about all those belongings you have but can’t wear anymore. Be ruthless, have a good time, and organize your closet!
ONE.
Prepare by getting the right supplies: many hangers, an expandable shoe rack, belt hook, tie rack, a closet doubler (another hanging clothes rod that hangs from your current one), or pants and skirt hangers (the kind that holds multiple pairs). I prefer the closet doubler; I find it more convenient to obtain the garments I would like.
TWO.
Remove everything (yes, everything!) from your closet. As you remove the items place them into five different piles: KEEP, REPAIR, GIVE AWAY, THROW AWAY, MOVE.
The KEEP pile.
The KEEP pile should be things that belong in your closet that meet these criteria: they suit you now, you like the way you look in them now, and they are fashionable now. This includes all clothes, shoes, hats, belts, ties, etc. If you're unsure it fits, try it on now. Your KEEP pile should include the garments you're keen on wearing and also the clothes that cause you to feel good once you wear them. It should include your special day wardrobe, too, as long as it meets the above criteria.
The REPAIR pile.
The REPAIR pile is for those items you would like to stay in but need a repair. If you're sure you may wear them once they're repaired, take them to your local shopkeeper or alterations shop and have them repaired. If you'll be able to (and want) to try and do the work yourself, gather the repair items, put them in your repair center, and provide yourself a period to repair them. If you haven’t gotten around to them by then, gather up the belongings and donate them.

The divulge pile.
The divulge pile should be the articles of shoes and clothing (or other items that found their way into your closet) that don’t meet the above criterion but that are in fine condition. Put these articles in a box or bag and put them in the trunk of your car now. At your earliest convenience take them to your local charity. Remember to induce a receipt for tax purposes.
The THROWAWAY pile.
The THROWAWAY pile is for all of these things that now do not serve any useful purpose. This includes items that are ripped or stained. Bag those items up and put them out together with your household trash now.
The MOVE pile.
The MOVE pile is for those items that don’t belong in your closet. Take the time now to place those items where they belong. If there's no room to place a specific item away, make a note of the room and put it on your list of places to declutter. Stuff it within there for now or put it in the garage, but don’t put it back in your closet.
THREE.
Separate Keep Pile, Now you're able to put all of the items you would like to stay back in your closet. delineated your KEEP pile into styles of clothing. Separate your slacks, your shirts or blouses, your jackets, suits, etc.

FOUR.
Start with one type and hang each item neatly on a hanger, facing all items and hangers in the identical direction. If you share a closet with someone, keep your clothing separate.
FIVE.
When you are finished with the hanging portion, put your shoes on your shoe rack, your ties on the rack, and your belts on the belt hook. Once again, if you share a closet keep your items separate. If you've got some odds and ends that require a zero in your closet feature Articles, consider buying some inexpensive organizing containers to store them. many of us are finding that an over-the-door pocket shoe holder is great for odds and ends and accessories. you'll see through the pockets and therefore the items are easily accessible.
Conclusion.
Doesn’t it feel good? Stand back and look at the appearance of your closet and then provide yourself a pat on the rear. Invite your friends over and celebrate by treating yourself to something special. You deserve it.
