Some spiritual and religious people may find themselves asking, why does God allow pain and suffering? Most People know God to be all-knowing and most powerful, which he is. So why does he allow pain and suffering you ask then? Let's take a second to look at some of the reasons why God allows pain and suffering

First, and foremost...

Asking the question of why God allows pain & suffering can be compared to a child asking their mother why she allowed them to touch a hot stove knowing that it was hot. The child made a choice that caused pain to themselves. The good news is that the experience brought a life lesson that the child will never forget and possibly never have to experience again either.

Even if the mother wanted to hurry and stop the child before the child's hand hit the stove, she would only be delaying the inevitable, the lesson will still have to happen due to the child's remaining curiosity.

So does God actually just allow you to go through pain and suffering? Actually Yes! Yes, he does! God allows pain and suffering for reasons that may not be understood by most.

One Reason,

why God allows Pain & Suffering to Help Develop us? Most people have the idea that the word "Good" means that everything is pleasant. The truth is that Our definition of "Good" and God's Definition of "Good" Is completely different. God's Definition of "Good" happening in your life is seeing "progress" in your spiritual growth.

It doesn't matter to God if it took some pain & suffering for you to grow and evolve spiritually. As long as we are growing and evolving the way that we should spiritually then God sees it as Good. Bad to God, is when you are not developing and growing spiritually even if to you everything is okay. God, will sometimes shake things up to initiate you to grow and change for the better.

Another Reason,

why God allows pain and suffering is actually not God allowing it at all and more so God not being able to fully protect you from the pain & Suffering due to each person's own free will. When God Isn't able to Fully protect you due to your own free will. It then allows for Negative things & situations to come towards you without much help and protection from the more Divine Positive and Powerful forces, Like God.

Most people would say, "Well of course I want to be protected from the negative things and situations that cause me pain & suffering." We say that while never actually surrendering our free will to the will of God. Thus causing him to not be able to fully protect us which allows more pain & suffering in our lives that isn't to help develop us and can actually cause damage to our development instead.

Also,

We cause our own pain & suffering. Anything that we do in life, good or bad creates what is called "Karma". All Karma has to be Paid back and so when you do good to yourself and others you will notice good things happening around you and to you because you planted a seed of good karma previously. However, If we go around being negative, spreading negativity, and doing negative/bad things then bad karma will eventually come back to us in the form of some type of pain & suffering. Sometimes this pain & suffering can be passed down to your children or even grandchildren.

Another way,

we cause our own pain & suffering also by not developing and growing, thus causing the same horrible situations to repeat themselves in our life.

Conclusion,

As long as we give ourselves to God and try to stay in good karma and good faith while going through periods where God is developing us. Can help us to avoid unnecessary pain & suffering and can also help lead us to a more happy, healthy, and fulfilling life.

Romans 8:28 reminds us: “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” He is moving in our lives. Even in the suffering, even in the temptation, and in the very middle of our sin — to accomplish both of helping us become more like Christ.
